Ella's coming in all God's Glorious Light,
Little Ella, golden delight!
Giggles and laughter,
Hugs and snuggles,
All saved up in loving cuddles,
For little Ella, golden delight.

Luminous eyes radiate wonder
In the knowing of God and Angels;
Heavenly glowing
Into our hearts
Revealing moments of magnificent insight
We are Blessed to share
In Ella's delight.

Big brother J.J. leading the way
Giving you love and tenderness
In his play.
Your family's love for you strong
Will help you along

Life's path in this family,

Little Ella

Hello friends,
A long time away from entries, but many life's circumstances into my daily life.

We have a new life coming into our family in early January 2008, my new granddaughter,
Ella. She is so new, that the only thing I know at this time, is that she is growing within my daughter-in-law, and they are so happy!

I have written a poem for her, and am in the process of compiling materials to create a blanket for her, as I did my grandson, J.J.

So, I shall share my poem with you all, and hopefully, you will be able to understand some of the joy within my heart.

Heart to heart

Just a short note for now.

Heart to heart, I am appreciating the connections here with all of you.
I have not taken full advantage of all that I can give here to you, and I apologise, from
my heart to yours.

My middle son, James Robert, has returned yesterday to DC, from being in Northern
Iraq for 442 days.  He wrote a most short, but eloquent note to those that he has worked
with in Iraq and around the world in those 442 days. He ended with a quote that
I would like to share here.

"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the truimph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."

In and around the world globe this day and every day are millions of individuals making a difference, caring for those other than themselves, putting their convictions on the line, and in the process, touching hearts and souls.

I am proud to know that no matter what, my son went to this country to make a difference for those there. I feel fully that he touched the hearts of many; but you can only imagine with
grace and great gratitude, I am most glad he is back home, and how my heart is touched.

Maiden Hands and Blosssoms Faire

Cold and crisp weather in my corner of the world, has given rise to hope
for Spring.....even this early in the year....Here is a poem written a few years
ago, watching my daugher-in-law, her friend, and my Mom, as they planted
Spring seeds....


Maiden Hands and Blossoms Faire


Now sown in fertile soil
And watered with tender care,
Tiny seeds are growing here;
Quick and nimble fingers that seek and toil
Gently and lovingly,
Wait anxiously in anticipation of the beautiful
And fragrant flowers to share.

Given a chance to learn and grow
Just as the tiny seeds in fertile soil
Our flower maids
In full bloom they are
Bright and shining faces,,
Like shining stars.

Are taught the ways and means
That can bring forth their flower dreams,
By one graced in wisdom and love,
See the inspiration she shares
Wrapped in concentration and care
Of the tiny lives,
Waiting to come forth and bear.

Drawn to warmth and light,
They struggle through the night,
And in the day
They bend and sway
Pushing hard with invisible energy
Welcoming in the moisture needed
To give them life and synchronicity
Which brings forth the blossoms of their future,
Do you see?

Given the chance
Now to share,
Love and lightbeams
Are blossoming here.

A Child's Heart

Many thanks goes to Matthew! I have been having some issues with the ability
to post here for a while now. The holidays have kept me busy, and otherwise
away from attempting to post. He gave me some fairly simple, but valuable information
for me, that has allowed me to come back here! Thank you again Matthew.

I posted on my main page a few weeks ago, this poem that I composed for
the Christmas Season; along with the fun picture of my grandson, and Santa.
I tried to post it here, but couldn't at the time. So, belately, I will send it along now.

I also celebrated my birthday on December 27th. I had a wonderful day with all of my
family. My middle son, James Robert, came home for 10 days, from Northern
Iraq, Erbil, Kurdistan. He will be traveling back there for three weeks in January,
and then will come back to DC. It was a time filled with emotion, and family love.

Through the eyes of the young and innocent, comes this poem.

A Child's Heart

Within a child's innocent heart,
A miracle resides:

A purity surrounding the light of the soul
Rising upward, and radiating outward
Unlimited possibilities unfold.

Through young eyes
Gazing upon the magic of the Season
Wide open with wonder and awe,
We are transformed back in time
To our own childhood and what we felt and saw.

As the holidays approached, and the
First snowfall blanketed the land,
Excitement and joyful anticipation
Filled our young hearts and minds
With the belief in miracles,
No matter how small or grand.

May this Blessed Season bring to one and all
The reminder of a child's pure heart.

A miracle child born
In a faraway land,
And the Purity surrounding the light of His soul
Giving us loving, grace
And compassion for all.

Dawn Publications is a wonderful resource of printed material for children
to learn all about nature and life.....

There are many talented and gifted individuals that have contributed their
art, their skills, their knowledge, their God given gifts. I was fortunate to meet
Christopher Canyon, the very talented illustrator of the John Denver series,
and others at Dawn.

There is also among them a soul who was a synchronistic connection
  with my dear friend, Sun....:), which was delightful for me to become aware of......

Enjoy the learning!

a child's heart, and delight for Christmas

Hello all,
I have not posted here for a while.....life has taken my mind and heart in many
directions.....

As this Christmas Season is beginning, I am feeling a new joy within my soul.....
a wonderful gift into my life.....my small grandson.....
He has developed into a little boy....will turn 2 years on December 7th.

I am happy to be sharing my life with him.....and I have found Christmas jewels
all ready....!:)

I wanted to share two sites with you, if you are looking for special gifts.

Again, relating to John Denver, as I have found much learning and joy from
knowing about him.......

There is a wonderfully delighful children's storybook there, "The Littlest Cowboy's
Christmas". I received it in the mail today.....it is a true story, of father and young
son doing a wonderful deed, and becoming friends with John Denver and a very
close friend of his, Joe Henry.....songwriter, poet, etc.
The author is Michael Chandler, president of Chandler Marketing Company.....

Hope you may enjoy learning about these wonderful places and books!
